XPRESS yourself
Interactive installation where the user is invited to unravel the connections between emotions as they float around a network built in a virtual space.
The Glad Scientist was a dear mentor who always guided me in the right direction.
More than ever we need to know how to deal
with our emotions in a healthy and safe way.

Dance videos
Selection of past improvisations to identify emotions.

Building the network in Touch Designer
The layout was unexpected, 3D spheres helped to make the decision.
The AI videos were applied to these objects as textures.
The Glad Scientist helped to add the interactivity through a Leap Sensor,
inviting the user to explore the network with the movement of their hand.
Mermaid Song | Background
For the background of the network I integrated an audio reactive project developed with AI models : Mermaid Song.
It's an exploration of sound, a simulation of music playing underwater: mixing different instruments (piano, violin, cellos) and voices with reverb, underwater noises and echoes.
Field recordings were made while riding my bike by the highway, in a park, under the rain or crossing tunnels where cars and trains went by. I worked also with sounds from free sound and generated some more with audios LDM.
I trained a model in Rave to use as an input in SEMILLA, an interface in Max 8 developed by my mentor Moises Hernandez.
In Touch Designer I mixed the sounds of siren echoes, piano melody and trumpets, using the sound waves to different parameters of the system.
